IDOC Lewis County Release Status
The Idaho Department of Correction is a statewide prison and community-supervision system, not a Lewis County jail. A person sentenced in Lewis County may leave the actual county holding jail through a transfer to IDOC. That movement does not establish release to the community. IDOC then controls the custody, movement, supervision, and discharge record.
The public status is the first routing clue. “In custody” points to physical IDOC control. “In community” can identify parole or probation and show the supervising office, Released to Supervision, and Sentence Satisfaction Date. “Discharged” with a date is the strongest public end-of-jurisdiction result. Community status does not mean the sentence has ended.
Search IDOC Lewis County Records

Name the IDOC number, Lewis County case, relevant date range, and exact record sought. A sentence-calculation report is more reliable than a personal date estimate when credit or forfeiture is disputed.
IDOC Parole Versus Release
The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole decides parole. IDOC keeps the custody record and performs field supervision. A Commission grant or tentative parole date does not prove physical release. Plan approval, required programs, holds, transport, paperwork, or rescission can intervene.
Check the Commission schedule and action, then return to IDOC for the status transition. A person still marked in custody has not been shown to be in the community. Once IDOC records community placement, note Released to Supervision and the actual district.

Lewis County IDOC Supervision
Lewis County is assigned to IDOC District 2. Its main office is in Lewiston, and it has an Orofino satellite. The District 2 office page provides current contacts. A person's IDOC detail can name a different actual office, officer, and phone. That specific assignment controls.

IDOC Jurisdiction in Lewis County
Lewis County lies within Nez Perce Reservation geography, but geography alone does not select IDOC. County, tribal, Idaho state, and federal custody systems are distinct. IDOC is appropriate only for an Idaho state commitment or state supervision record.
